If these clowns had run into some armed suspects they probably would have shot each other after shooting up the neighborhood. Fire discipline is the mark of a professional. Most cops today don’t know what that means.

The SFPD had a similar embarrassing incident back in 2000. The bottom line was a rookie and a senior female officer responded to a 911 call from a 11 y/o because of a threatening phone call. One of the family dogs, a English sheepdog, latched onto the female officers’ buttocks. The rookie took a shot at the dog and missed. The round ricocheted and fragmented hitting the 11 y/o in the leg and wounding his partner. It was a real cluster. Dog 1 SFPD 0

The two cops were investigating local copper thefts when they were approached by an "aggressive dog showing its teeth."

Ping for a Woooof!!! ???
The Dog was warning the Copper about the fact that he was about to injure his partner with a poorly aimed shot. Dogs know these things.

I’m not going to say a word about law enforcement accuracy going to the dogs.

The dog was not aggressive. The dog was DEFENSIVE. Protecting his master against an invasion from mean-looking men. The dog did the right thing.

(One officer the one who didn’t end up with a bandage on his arm pulled his gun and fired “three or four shots” at the animal.)
This is just a nonsense report. I am a former LEO/Correctional Officer who served as a weapons safety officer. How in hell do you fire 3 OR 4 shots? You either fired 3, or your fired 4. How do you not know? If you do not know how are you qualified to carry a weapon in society? How do you write a news report that says someone fired 3 or 4 shots? Do you not research? Do you not ask questions? How many bullets were in the weapon? How many where there after the shooting? This is not rocket science people...........

Someone more skilled in photo editing than I am needs to make an “aggressive looking” dogs identification graphic.
Maybe a dog showing its belly, a dog cocking its head, a dog panting.....
