Michael Savage still on Anti-Zim rant
770 AM radio | 7-11-13 | Me, Myself, and I

Posted on 07/11/2013 9:41:53 PM PDT by EinNYC

Tonight, I was listening in to the Michael Savage show while I drove home from buying new sneakers. First, he had on a nutritionist to speak out in favor of fish oils and debunk the new study that's come out against them. Then he launched into his now-familiar anti-Zim diatribes. He had on a few callers who said, "I agree with you", which pleased him greatly. He reiterated that Zimmerman caused the whole problem by (1) being a policeman wannabe, (2) having a loaded gun with the safety off [thanks to Freepers here, I learned that sort of gun has no safety, so M.S. is full of baloney about guns], and (3) precipitating the incident so that Zimmerman had to defend himself.

Anyone catch the M.S. show tonight? What do you think about his continued yada-yada about why George Zimmerman should be found guilty? I just can't believe he is adopting this weirdo position.

Yes, I have noticed that he and his various issues (stomach problems, missing old cars he's sold, this aches and that hurts him, lousy restaurant meals -- what, his wife doesn't know how to cook?, all lawyers are bad, everything out of his father's mouth was great, his mother knew everything, and his absolutely ignorant wading into Biblical issues, making statements on Jewish religious issues from a standpoint of absolute ignorance take center stage and politics, which he frequently says he doesn't want to talk about, are shoved aside. Since he moved to the new radio stations, I think he's shown a pronounced toning down of his fiery rhetoric. He is so tame nowadays, he's actually polite to some of his callers.

Lacking the years of intense study that Orthodox rabbis undergo, Mr. S. only has available to him the English literal translation of the Old Testament and therefore is not privy to the extreme multitude of interpretations which must be kept in consideration before issuing statements one way or another about them. I appreciate that he seems to take inspiration from the Old Testament, but you don't really get the REAL message from it unless you have devoted years of study to both the Old Testament AND the zillions of ancillary texts needed to make the proper interpretations of each passage.

I also don't appreciate his reading from the Old Testament one minute and appearing to listen to G-d's words and the next minute, expounding on his latest consumption of a non-kosher meal. That drives me nuts!

Mike:
Yer alunatic attention where.

Your reasoning is contrived and consciously excuses certain facts and realities for a synthetic hypothesis.

He adopted that weirdo position because he’s a weirdo. Do yourself a favor and tune into something else.

...and the beauty of Florida law is that none of that matters one whit; once Treyvon started trying to kill Zimmerman, that’s when he shot the 180 guy on top of him. And I’m sure if you go examine Treyvon’s youtube history, you’ll see plenty of videos of black people jumping white guys and beating the heck out of them.

But hey, why let some inconvenient facts get in the way. Like Al Gore speaking at a theatre in a town which just experienced record lows, he’ll go on about something totally unrelated to reality. Was he profiled? Yes, he’s a black guy walking in a gated community, dressed like a gangster, and was treated exactly how he presented himself to the world.

He came back and stalked Zimmerman and jumped him. Who called 911? Zimmerman did. Who was still on the phone with 911? Zimmerman.

Yet we are to discount credible testimony backed up with science and instead revert to the emperor’s new clothes and say how wonderful they are, because some personality spews out something totally unrelated to law and the facts of the case.

Florida law is really simple: You bring deadly force to a battle, then it is open season on you by anyone carrying a gun. Don’t like it? Then don’t beat on people. It really is that simple.

Wasn’t Michael Savage recently banned from entering the UK because of his “extremist” views?

After this Hard Left Flip Out on guns and race, the UK will buy Savage a plane ticket and put him up at a luxury hotel!

Re: “Wannabe Policeman”

I thought Zimm’s defense team passed up a great opportunity.

Every time a cop testified, they should have asked, “At any point in your life were you a Wannabe Policeman?”

Sometimes I think that Savage is simply a goof. Bob

J.D. Hayworth was a very good sub on Monday night. MUCH better than Savage, so he’ll probably never get the gig again. Bob

Flipped off 770 once Savage reiterated his position on the case. He can be such a tool.

I think Michael Weiner is still doing some “research” on a certain herb. An indication of this would be bouts of the munchies.

giving himself kudos for being brilliant

The closest to brilliance he'll ever get is being given the time slot next to Mark Levin.

No matter what, everything is all about him.

Used to listen to him in CA a decade ago. Gave up because of exactly what you say. Constantly talking about himself, as if I was expected to be as interested in him as he was.

If he's gotten worse since, which it sounds like, I don't see how he stays on the air, much less nationally.

Actually, it's not quite that simple. There are multiple exceptions, as there should be.

As in, if you are in the process of committing a violent felony, such as robbery, and are confronted with deadly force in reply, you cannot use self-defense to justify your homicide.

IOW, if I break into your home, and you pull a gun or baseball bat to defend yourself, if I kill you I cannot claim self-defense.

I understand and in general agree with the rationale behind Stand Your Ground laws.

But they have serious problems, as in the fact that in many cases it is difficult or impossible to define which party to a confrontation was the aggressor. It should not be automatically assumed that the dead guy was the perp and not the victim.

That just gives someone an incentive to finish off his opponent.

He reiterated that Zimmerman caused the whole problem by (1) being a policeman wannabe,

I can see his point, in my part of the country there are so many who are not worth a crap for anything else that are in the sheriff,s posy or volunteer fire fighters, etc, and the only time you see them are in parades or calling numbers in bingo games.

Not saying that i agree with him where Zimmerman is concerned but i think he is making a good point.

He also said that Zimmerman was over charged by the prosecutor and would be found innocent. Zimmerman will then be re-charged and brought back to trial for manslaughter.

Really??

Yah. I’m bailing too. Who could believe a word of what he says on the air after listening to that horseshit. I should have stuck with my decision to bail after his calling for the banning of high cap mags etc a few months back.
