Carson on TCM: Shelley Winters (1975), Ronald Reagan (1975), Robin Williams (1981), Jonathan Winters (1988), Michael Caine (1983)
"Former governor of California, actor and future President Ronald Reagan sat down with Johnny in 1975 to discuss politics, his beliefs about the complicated income tax structure, the cure for inflation and what he thought was the biggest problem with the government."
Carson On TCM
Looking at that picture makes me wonder where America went.
Jay Leno, David Letterman, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Craig Ferguson ... together they don’t match Carson. He’ll always be the KING of late night. And the guests Carson had on, well, those were real STARS back then. (Can you imagine any of these late-night talk show clowns today interviewing President Reagan? You know they would ask the most inane questions. Though I’m sure the former and late president, with that smile, would have found a way to answer them with grace and dignity.)
It made me feel sorry for the host Conan O'Brien. The caliber of entertainers available for talk show guests in this era has gone so far downhill since those days.
Dead and buried.
Look at Barry’s limp handshake. What a wuss!
