Watching Fox News Channel coverage of Zimmerman trial. Judge has just sprung another surprise against Zimmerman, saying jury can consider Martin's death as child abuse so jury can convict based upon that, too, and perhaps convict him of voluntary manslaughter. This trial is a travesty.
Bah, humbug. It's the rule of our "betters". Enough already.

It was a kangaroo court from day one.
Biased judge? Watch any divorced female judge with kids handle an alimony, child custody or support dispute. The guy never stands a chance. The judge punishes the father for whatever her ex-husband did to her.
Note - this hasn't happened to me personally but I've witnessed it countless times in 20 years as an attorney.
Any charge that sticks is good for the judge. ANY crime commited with the use of a firearm carries a 20 sentence..

Bingo, I have always said watch Obama in the 3rd or 4th year of his second term. He will show his true colors but they will be much vibrant. He will become much more brazen since he knows no one can touch him and the Republicans have no balls to confront him. Zimmerman never got a chance to defend himself against this new accusation. How can this be constitutional?

I was thinking they cold also charge him with littering for leaving the spent brass at the scene. /s
I am hoping that the jury will see the “child abuse” thing as the idiocy that it is. The judge should allow the jury to see the videos of the man being beaten and stripped in Baltimore and the woman in San Francisco being knocked to the ground and kicked in the face - both by gangs of blacks - just so they SEE what it’s like to be attacked and how playing nice with your attacker might get you killed.
I doubt she would do such a thing. The Fifth Circuit has a long track record of over-turning her nonsense and she knows an acquital will result in Holder and the Just-Us Department bringing civil rights violations under Title 18 against Zimmerman. This time, Holder will make sure the right jury is seated.
Your question as to elective or appointed is very interesting perhaps even crucial to Zimmerman’s defense. The public can see this judge is probably a ‘women’s rights’ lawyer/judge by one or the other routes. I have seen too many of these easy come law students/lawyers. I hope this woman becomes a poster example of to what our judicial system has been degraded.
Two poster children are residing in the U.S. Supreme Court as Obama appointees...
Grounds for appeal.
My understanding is that the legal bureaucracy considers running away from the scene, not submitting to the legal system, as a sign of guilt and that many others agree.
In the future, why would anyone in Zimmerman’s situation not run if they had a chance to get away with it? Why would they risk submitting to the legal system if they could get away?
