"Beautiful grand pianos were among the many items the Nazis confiscated from the Jews of Prague, Czechoslovakia, and other locations.
The genocide perpetrated against European Jewry was accompanied by the systematic expropriation of Jewish wealth.
Anything perceived to be of value was taken, registered, and shipped to an appropriate warehouse."
Most of the Second Wave of the Kursk Offensive was diverted by Hitler from Russia to Italy to meet this threat, including 1 1/2 air fleets (Around 1,200 aircraft) and several divisions, including armor and motorized Div’s equipped with the latest Tigers, Panthers, and mobile 88’s.
These were supposed to be the 2nd hammer, hitting to the north of Kursk, when the main attack slowed.
Given that the majority of the Russian tanks in use at Kursk were 76mm-equipped T-34’s, and U.S. built 75mm Shermans that couldn't penetrate the front armor of a Tiger at any range (While they could kill Shermans at 2 miles), this would have made a huge difference in the east in 1943.
The loss of the aircraft was especially acute, given growing Russian airpower, was the real factor at Kursk, and could have been instrumental in turning back, or at least stunting, the coming Bagration.
