Yes. . .but to be clear, you have a right to fight back but if you use deadly force you have to be in fear of your life or the life of another.
In Texas, if someone tries to, or does, break in your house, it is a death sentence to the person doing that. The home owner with a gun kills the perp right there.

The distinction I was trying to point out is that the standards justifying that “fear” are, I think, a significantly lower bar to clear in Texas than in Florida.
