How STUPID.
If that’s a true foto, then the owners should be horse whipped........
I thought my parents were pack rats...!
bkmk
Can't wait to show this to my brother then sit back and watch him twitch like Sheldon Cooper before progressing to cranial detonation.
Seriesly though...what a find!
There’s a VW dealer near here with a 1972 VW converitble with 7 miles on it. It was left behind in a dealer-owned warehouse when the dealer moved the showroom. When he discovered it about ten years ago he had the hoses and tires replaced but the top was still in good shape. It’s been detailed and he runs it a few minutes every week and it is NOT for sale.
They should have traded them in during cash for clunkers.
A true American success story!
Here’s the auction link if you didn’t find it buried in that article:

eh, I’ll keep my 51 Coupe.
Well most of the new cars were in a warehouse. It was the unsold used cars that ended up outside at their farm. Even so, most of the used cars will buff out. lol

Thanks for the link.
not out in the open...they were in buidlings....in reallygood shape save some dust and flat tires
...and add some air to the tires.
A neighbor of one of my college housemates decided to sell off most of his garged collection around 1988 so he could start collecting tanks. Sold roomate a 59 Pontiac Catalina and a couple of our other friends a mint 64 Buick and 62 sedan DeVille. He had the first 7 or 8 years of vettes, and a 70 SS Camaro with 700 miles on it among others...
We’d go parts hunting for the Catalina, and we saw some CRAZY barn collections of stuff back to at least the 20’s, in some cases with inches of dust and pidgeon crap on it...
every seal is rotted and the spark plugs and pistons are prolly corroded in place
Unfortunately much more of them look like the one in the picture you posted than the ones inside the shop.
