When is a verdict expected, I am not following the trial all that closely...

The prosecution just rested (after 9 days of trial). The defense is arguing its motion to dismiss, which the judge will deny. Then the defense will put on its witnesses, which should take at least a week.

If it took nine days so far for the state, then assuming at least as much for the defense, plus no more than 24 hours deliberation for the estrogen-heavy jury of mothers sympathetic to Sybrina Fulton (as CNN just declared them to be), then we’re looking at July 15th for The Verdict.
