Rangers just signed Manny...he's in Triple AAA now. Didn't he retire rather than face another 50 game suspension for PEDs? So what happens to that?
all over it....got Daytona and my beloved D Backs today as well.....chillin a 12 pack of Boston Lager too
Manny served the 50 games last year while with Oakland organization (was on minor league roster)
Thanks....
Ball skipped under Morrisons glove allowing Jon Jay to score the winning run when he should have had to stop at third.
Stantons throw was only slightly better than the muzzie fags first pitch at a White Sox game a few years back.
The home plate umpire blew the game earlier on, but I agree. Stanton “lollygagged” the entire play. I can’t blame Morrison on that, and you could tell that LoMo was PISSED as he spit out his chew and stormed into the clubhouse.
Stanton is another that thinks things will just happen for him because he’s always been a head taller, a step faster, etc.
He needs to seriously change his outlook (not lifting weights, but listening to coaches) if he’s ever going to come close to reaching his potential.
Terrible way to end a game.
The Marlins have some good coaches too (unlike the motley crew they had last year with Guillen, those guys couldn't even correct Heath Bell).
Well, there's always tomorrow, hope Fernandez has another good outing, and Lance Lynn going for St. Louis.
I always wanted the Fish to let Stanton go to arbitration after this season, because I still think he’d be a bargain given his injuries.
But lately, I almost hope he hits 60 HR’s in the HR contest and they trade him for 1/2 of some other team’s prospects.
He doesn’t seem to have a very high baseball IQ.
well waitin for beer to chill is the hardest thing there is
CarHen was close on the NL.
pitchers, He had 11 of 13 correct. I said drop Melancon and Mujica and mentioned Chapman and Bumgarner. There is the roster.
Tulowitzski is still on the team, which bumps Desmond to the 34th man ballot. And Bruce isn’t the 34th, he’s off completely. CarHen had it.
And CarHen had Freeman and Puig for honorable and they are on the final ballot.
CarHen did not see eye-to-eye with the AL players and Leiland.
Looks like Perez, C, KC finished 2nd in players voting.
And Leiland went with Castro, C, Hous as a 3rd catcher instead of Norris, P, Hous as a 14th pitcher.
Perez of KC (above) drops Santana, P, KC.
Robertson is on the ballot as pitcher #13.
Pitchers Santana (above) and Kuroda dropped by Leiland (?) in favor of his own guy Verlander and a lefy releiver Cecil cuz Leiland thinks he can create a better roster for in-game strategy. Granted, there is a shorage of AL lefties. CarHen only had one (Sale) on his flawed roster.
Infielders Hardy and Machado get the vote over Lowrie and Donaldson.
Outfielders Gordon and Hunter get the player vote over McLouth and Elllsbury.
Lieland went with Zobrist, not Longoria, as the TB player because apparently worried about an outfield injury in the late innings and wants a utility guy and a pinch-runner.
Maybe it is a good strategy, but who would he pinch-run for? Fielder or a catcher. So he is going to keep Zobrist and a catcher on the bench for the sole purpose of pinch-running in the 9th inning?
I think this is silly cuz I am sure Machado or Kipnis can play the outfield in a rare event.
Perhaps Leiland forgets about the all-star rule for catcher re-entry. If Perez is injured, Mauer can come back into the game. So Castro is there really only to allow PH and PR for Perez.

33, with one to go. At least 5 of the 6 tigers were elected. Verlander might be a Leiland choice. So it is not his fault. Same with the 4 Orioles.
Oakland had ZERO players on the original 33, Colon is an injury replacement. It looks like a technical violation.
NL position players:
East-3, Central-10, West-7

I do not know which players were Bochy choices. 4 of the reserves and I think 4 of the pitchers. Pitchers Wood and Fernandez were pretty much required (every team). Locke, Corbin, Bumgarner .... maybe 2 of those were Bocky selections.
Only 1 Yankee and 1 Red Sock in the starting lineup, boy have times changed.
Freeman leads Puig!
