I won’t see the Lone Ranger. I can’t understand why in the previews Depp gets top billing as Tonto when it’s supposed to be about the ranger.
And yes, Depp looks ridiculous as Tonto.

It looks like he hadn’t finished removing all of his ‘Dark Shadows’ greasepaint before getting into character as Tonto.

Despicable Me 2 has a distinct advantage that The Lone Ranger does not.
It is, by most accounts, an entertaining movie.

Johnny Deep is about as indian as Iron Eyes Cody.

Kirk did most of his fighting on a closed set.
They had to keep turning the fake boulders around to have them look a little different.

Johnny was not bareback on horse. He had a sheer Velcro saddle planted on his butt. They failed to synch it tight and Johnny rode a terrorized horses belly.

Amerindians should be burning down theaters at this depiction of an Indian as a clown

What is this? Am I the only one who looks at Depp and immediately has this come to mind?

"...Kirk fought the monster mano a mano..." Hahahaha....and that stupid music was playing in the background as they struggled! You have to admit, when even a kid looks at a cheesy reptilian head and thinks..."Oh no...The paper mache head is going to kill Capt. Kirk!" then your special effects department needs help!
(One of my favorite movies is "Galaxy Quest"...they NAIL it!)

One of the running problems. They had small budget. Even rummaged the lot trash bins for props.

I heard about that, as the actor had the looks, but not the overall qualities for a star.
