"This Fourth of July, I’m not going to talk about what we have lost. At this point, anyone worth a damn already knows what we have lost."

Yes everyone knows and now on the eve of the Celebration of Our Revolution we are about to be remind by Muslims no less that even today a Revolution is need now and again if people are to stay FREE.

Got all the bases covered times 10.

Except for the alternate retreat location. We ARE the retreat location for all our family and very close friends.

Keep it up, Kart. You may be saving some lives with your info. Thanks.

“These are the absolute minimum preparations you will need to fight back against the collapse of our nation and our culture.”
____________________________________________________________

Prepping for short term disasters is prudent, but prepping for the collapse of a nation is problematic. You are talking about a civil war.
I have watched a number of the “Prepper” series on Natl. Geo., but find them quite ify when one preps for a specific disaster. If the country falls into civil disorder, you had best be very far away. All those guns and bullets will not save you. You will not wake up one morning and find that the nation has returned to normal.
I did my prepping, starting in 1999, by exploring other countries. I left America for the last time in Jan. 2005.
There are countries in central Europe that are still quite nice, and not affected by the problems in southern Europe.
I am now in the Philippines. While this is a third world country, I feel much safer then if I were back in the USSA.
Add to that, I live on a fraction of what it would take in the US. My wife, child, and myself can do just fine on $1000 per month, or less.
America may recover, but I am skeptical. The takers outnumber the givers, and the reelection of Obozo indicates a nation of brain dead idiots.

1. An AM/FM/SW and/or HAM radio might be a good idea as well.
Rechargeable batteries and a small solar panel to keep them running.
2. A helluva good knife.
3. Maps and compass.
3. Your Bible.

Just some ideas...

Have your house in good repair and be debt free. Have a plan so you could live off what you can put in a back pack, for a few weeks.

“Find Two Neighbors Who Are On Board”

Easy enough. Just wait until SHTF, then when the jerks off themselves those that get it will be left standing. Problem solved.

If you can’t defend it, you don’t own it.

A gun and 1000 rounds of ammunition is only part of the self defense story. You must know how to use it, and practice doing so.

The more people in your group who are ready, willing, and ABLE to fight, the more likely you are to survive whatever trouble comes your way.

Ideally, you should have prepared defensive positions, preferably hard to spot, with at least two locations capable of directing fire at every point of approach.

You need at least one long gun for every capable adult in your group for defense. You should probably consider a side arm for each person as well.

In the “old days” (a year ago or so), you could buy an inexpensive .22 and dirt cheap ammo for it and learn to shoot on a reasonable budget.

Now, ammunition is in such short supply that getting the necessary practice is either going to be VERY expensive, or not possible at all.

All in all, if you have not yet gotten a gun and learned how to use it, then by all means do so immediately. In a true SHTF situation, your other preps are moot without it.

If anyone in the Kentucky area is interested, Lotus Gunworks in Louisville has .45 ACP ammo on sale. A 50-round box of PMC brass-case FMJ is $22.99, limit five boxes per customer.

They also had .223 and .308 ammo on sale, but I don't remember the prices.
