Boring old dogs or cats won't cut it for this Texas couple. Melanie Typaldos and her husband, Richard Loveman, of Buda, Texas, share their home with a gigantic 112-pound rodent: Gary the capybara. A few are occasionally spotted in N. Florida along the Suwanee River and tribs. They are usually descendants from local owners that got loose. Sometimes a local will shoot one. I know one was killed back in 99.

Here's that "slippery slope" we were warned about after the Faux Fag Marriage thing.

Of course they are, they’re made out of meat. Seriously, they are commonly eaten.

I met a woman from South America in a local Community College and I was told they raise them down there as a source of cheap meat, rodents can forage on a variety vegetation and thrive, but she said that they can be temperamental and have been known to bite when pissed off.
Any animal will bite or do something when it`s pissed but these things are huge. I knew a guy who had a white lab rat as a pet and that thing would occasionally take a little nibble at you. Can you imagine what this beast would do?
