It’s not a Java problem. It’s a FR problem.
It worked fine earlier in the day, I haven’t changed anything on my computer and it’s not working right at this time.
To: conservatism_IS_compassion Its happened before, set your views to 20 instead of 50 and if that doesnt work, disable sidebars. I havent had a problem since I did that. What might be happening to cause my browser to display the article and only the first 10-14 replies on a thread? New anomaly AFAIK.56 posted on June 29, 2013 7:37:52 PM EDT by conservatism_IS_compassion

Im seeing it on Safari on my Mac . . .
Net is glitchy again.
The hub Verizon/Level3 is red and more is strangled (internetpulse).
Big geomagnetic storm is just subsiding. I’ve had phone lines quit on me today.
The servers need more cowbell.
And another hamster.
Periodically for a few hours or a day F only loads 7 or 8 posts on and Next Page jumps me 50 posts so it misses a lot.
Its ok here at Krakatoa
I've never experienced that problem, until this afternoon. I have always set my display to 50 items per page.
Win 7 64bit, IE10
On this thread,
"Paul Ryan Leading House for 'Amnesty' Deal"
The first page of 1-50 only displays 15 and part of 16 relies
The second page, 51-98, just displays 66.
I have not updated anything.
happening to me also and I do not use Java. It is an FR problem.
Happening in IE 10 too.
I smell a FReepathon in the offin’ !!
It’s in the FR site. They’ve got that long bar thing going on their news links (again). Maybe because of heavy internet traffic. It is Saturday night, and some of us don’t feel like blowing our time and paychecks at the local social clubs. Besides it’s hot outside, and it’s probably raining (it is here, a heavy thunderstorm). Nobody wants to drive in this mess, just to go somewhere & party because you get to sleep late tomorrow. So what’s left besides the internet? Have fun with your man, play some videogames, watch cartoons, and/or get drunk. Reading news & comments online has gone way down on my list of immediate priorities. Thanx, FR.
All I know is I didn’t do it.
I was busy baking biscuits for the Society of Disapproving Dobermans.
I’ll be darned, the proverbial question was asked.
I’ll be darned, the proverbial question wasn’t asked.
I downloaded the newest java because my firefox would “hang” when I opened certain webpages (usually “cheezburger” with Lol cats, since I usually don’t go to Freerepublic until I’ve gotten in a better mood after reading Drudge).
With the new Java, my computer not only froze, but it turned the computer off completely.
I had to do a “system restore” and now it still hangs, but only for about 15 seconds.
So now I use Opera for a lot of my blogging.
