ATLANTA, June 28, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) Chickens dont tweet, but Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy does. Cathy took to Twitter after Wednesdays twin Supreme Court decisions in favor of same-sex marriage to express his opposition to the controversial rulings.
Sad day for our nation; founding fathers would be ashamed of our gen. to abandon wisdom of the ages re: cornerstone of strong societies, Cathy posted to the social media site, which limits messages to 140 characters.
He later removed the tweet.
Chick-fil-A spokesman Jerry Johnston said that Cathys remarks represented his opinion, and not those of his company. Johnston said in a statement that, Dan Cathy, like everyone in this country, has his own views. However, Chick-fil-A is focused on providing great-tasting food and genuine hospitality to everyone.
Asked why Cathy chose to delete the tweet, Johnston told The Huffington Post, He realized his views didnt necessarily represent the views of all customers, restaurant owners, and employees, and didnt want to distract them from providing a great restaurant experience.
Click "like" if you want to defend true marriage.
Statements Cathy made to the Baptist Press last year in support of traditional marriage put Chick-fil-A at the center of a controversy that saw the chicken sandwich chain targeted by boycotts and threats of government retribution.
Efforts by homosexual activists to harm the chicken chain with boycotts, vandalism, and threats proved unsuccessful. Supporters of traditional marriage mobilized en masse to support the chain, organizing a Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day that saw record-breaking sales and interminably long lines at drive-thru windows nationwide.
But the media firestorm was so intense that when convicted terrorist Floyd Corkins showed up at the headquarters of the Family Research Center with a handgun and opened fire at the height of the controversy, he was carrying 15 Chick-fil-A sandwiches along with the ammunition in his backpack.
In a videotaped confession, the 28-year-old homosexual activist said he intended to kill as many as possible and smear the Chick-fil-A sandwiches in victims faces, and kill the guard. He hoped the atrocity would make a statement against the people who work in that building...and with their stance against gay rights and [for] Chick-fil-A.
I know one thing is these homosexuals think this is it then they have another thinking coming.
They lost in the vote, they had to go judge shopping and found a homo judge who should have recused himself as he benefits from his own decision and then the SCOTUS acts all political over this and calls people bigots. yes these anti Christian, anti religion, anti first amendment hating bigots and haters have been calling the founding of the country disgusting, they hate the idea of freedom of religion and now they look to force their communist agenda onto us,.
well not me , ever, if they ever think they are married they are told no you are not,.
they think they have their sham marriage but alas not one of us should ever shy away from telling them or their supporters they are not really married, I know I won’t and have not
we went by the rules.
We got a vote and we voted for marriage,, again we got an constitutional amendment vote and we won that but no they still had to act like drama queens and went judge shopping.
They found a homosexual judge who should have recused himself as he benefits from his own decision but alas he never did and gave their verdict.
Now they get the elitist ivory tower who knows his homosexual pals from thier cocktail parties who gives them their decision .
We they might have their sham but in my state they do not and I don;t have to recognize their sham at all and they will not shut me up either
If the Founders could have foreseen what a sorry state this country would have come to,I doubt they would have risked everything to found it.
Funny how they leave out the facts that guy was a hard core leftist who attempted to murder innocent workers at a conservative workplace.

By mistake, the tv was on Jimmy Fallon show last night and he was making very disgusting “jokes” about CF. The tv couldn’t get turned off fast enough.
The boldest are backing off, it seems.
I don’t know where his personal faith is and it would be wrong for me to speculate. But a 24/7 Jesus (and Father) are needed to be able to stand up to new assaults like this. What was he afraid of anyhow... that once more people would mob Chik-Fil-A with orders? I wondered why there weren’t mobs today at noon, and now I know why.
I think I’m going to go buy another chicken sandwich.
Yes, when civilization is crumbling and barbarians are streaming over the wall, we must make sure above all that everyone has a great restaurant experience. <(
Oh please, not that again! The lines are long enough already.
Yes sir we will obey our Heavenly Father and that’s why we will elevate Jesus in our hearts and will not worship even the most beloved earthly icons. I don’t know about you, however, bud.
Well, you certainly seem accusation- and innuendo-laden yourself, as well as bizarre (I never said a word bad about Mr. Cathy unless it was to lament that he deleted his tweet). Take the log out of your eye!
That passage calls for more than “sending them away” it calls for killing them. And that was in the context of the Mosaic law which also called for killing sabbath breakers. It served as an earthly illustration of holiness, not as a latter day warrant for calling upon God to be a hit man for you. I am sorry, I will not swallow the camels you are serving up. I do want to see homosexuals separated from their sin. If you actually followed what I have said in the last several days that ought to be crystal clear.
What’s the first thing Jesus will do when he returns?
If you can’t OBEY God, what will He have to do with you?
I am obeying Him. I am putting the word of salvation out far and wide.
I might also ask you to examine your own preconceptions. You have a preconception that we should be doing our utmost to be little caesars. Exactly how are YOU “sending homosexuals away” if you view that as the touchpoint of obedience? You seem to be asking everyone else to be doing your dirty work.
And if “advocacy” is your excuse for not undertaking the dirty work personally... then why don’t you also advocate for stoning sabbath breakers so that Jesus won’t find you guilty of omitting that when He comes. The logic is perfectly parallel.
You are question-beggingly wrapping utilitarianism in the robes of Christian faith. Sorry, no sale.
Friend, I do not hate you.
I think I see the core from which you are coming, apart from all the fancy dancy things you have piled upon it. And it’s something like this: homosexual practice is a bad thing for our neighbors, God wants us to do good for our neighbors, while we may not find it conscionable to slay homosexuals today, God still wants us to try to help our neighbors by doing something to try to help get the bad influence of homosexuality from among our neighbors, and to steadfastly refuse that is disobedience.
I could meet you squarely at that one. I think we are arguing about means, not about ends. As Abraham Lincoln said, “I destroy my enemies by making them my friends.” (And I’m a poet and I don’t know it. I rhyme every time.)
We might think from their self-applied monikers of “gay” that homosexuals are forever happy people. Trust me. I’ve seen into that world. They are not forever happy. They are miserable apart from the fleeting thrills they get from their unnatural copulations. They are full of rage and envy and resentment and self hatred and disappointment. Sometimes they blame that on a society that is too stringent, but raw statistics show that homosexuals are happier in stringent societies than they are in lenient ones. The devil has them addicted on his meat hook and cannot make them, as they vainly claim, “gay.”
Anyhow, there is no lack of “stick” in the homosexuals’ life, whether lenient or stringent society. God isn’t mocked, He never gives His glory to another, and they get no true joy. Here is where the strong and wise Christian has an opportunity to minister, to be the “carrot” to the “stick.” To show, where it counts, that God was not woofing when He said “I desire mercy, not sacrifice.”
That’s how I see it, and that’s why I am begging to differ.
