To say I'm shocked at Coulter's assertion would just be a lie. This is Ann Coulter. She says ridiculous nonsense on a regular basis. But on top of her magically ridiculous statements, the oh-so-reasonable Sean Hannity -- the host who should rein in commentary on his show that has gone completely off the rails -- simply let her statement stand. Sure, she just said that gun violence is an issue only with communities of color, but whatever.
Since when are people of color Americans? If gun violence affects only them (which it doesn't), then we don't really need to address it!
So, quick question: With these shining staples of the right wing, why should nonwhites feel comfortable with the Republican Party again?

That seems about right. It is a demographic problem.
Mr White seems to think Ann said there was no crime in Belgium.
That is NOT what she said.
The lefts response would be it’s racism in this country responsible for the minorities being so violent.
My solution would be to start the American Minority Repatration Act of 2013, to mandate immediate that all the ill-treated minorities (blacks, hispanics) will be sent back to their home countries where they can flourish and prosper in those safer, superior, native uptopian communities free of white American racism.
Political correctness forbids us from having a frank discussion about the issues involved here. You aren’t allowed to say that black on black violence, minority youth gang violence, etc. happens more frequently than such violence among whites. We have to be politically correct.
The left is outraged about this, not because of the facts of the situation, but because saying such things violates politically correct theology. The left does this all the time. The left is “offended” and “outraged” by certain comments, but do not address the content of said comments. We’re supposed to be silenced because the left gets offended.
Because Malik Zulu Shabazz isn't one perhaps.
I donate to that.
Throw a rock into a pack of dogs, and the one that yells is the one that got hit.
This has been quietly suggested for years.
If you drew a circle of 800 miles around Iowa....you’d find statistics very similar to France or Germany, in terms of violence and murder.
If you draw a 800 mile circle around DC...to include Baltimore, Prince Georges County, and Montgomery county....you’ve got over 600 people killed on average a year. The assault and robbery numbers would be a national disgrace. Thankfully....no one gathers statistics like this.
It also works the same way for carbon footprints. If you were curious....most southern state have a carbon footprint similar to Germany or France. Then you come to Cal and Conn, which have tremendous footprints, because of the number of older coal plants and the amount of carbon they produce. Over thirty US states would be considered pro-active and carbon friendly....if they weren’t lumped into the same group with Conn and Cal.
Actually, I read a fairly definitive study that said just that. Gun violence is a demographic issue.
This is fact that can be easily demonstrated. It’s not racism. The numbers are there.
Take the non anglo groups out of the mix and you have 90 million white Americans with a gun violence rate as low as any of the predominately white European gun control states.
Simple facts that are not permitted in our Orwellian paradise.
Sorta like the muzzies being outraged and insulted about...everything.
What little excerpt of the article that was posted seems little more than an ad hominem attack-the-messenger reply. There is no discussion, at least in the excerpt, about whether Ann’s claim is, or is not, true based on actual numbers.
I propose we give them Detroit and Flint.
Oh, wait. We already tried that.
The race hustlers need something to complain about everyday.
The problem that the violence impacts on White Americans seems okay to Mr. White. But to step into the big brown steaming pile of his mind, my take away from him is that to correct the problem we should take all the guns away from the people that are causing the problem. Now Republicans aren’t saying this, they are saying that everyone but CRIMINALS should be able to have guns.
It is the democrat party that wants to disarm law abiding Americans. So tell me why we should feel comfortable with democrats , ever?
When a conservative does the same thing to point out that murder rates differ considerably between "persons of color," murder victims and perps, and the racial disparities.
Yeah. That’s not a new statistic. It applies to most nationalities though. Americans of English descent are less likely to commit murder than English in England. Even Camaroonians in the US are less likely to commit murder than Camaroonians in Camaroon.
If you compare black on black murder rates we are on par with Nigeria.
You already do. I’d propose to take all the Obamaphone money and divert it towards this far more urgent, necessary program. To get them out of this terribly racist environment and back to their native utopian civilizations.
I mean, when someone mentions the terms “safe”, “civilized”, “genteel” and “peaceful”, I mean don’t you just automatically think about any of the countries in Africa or South America?
I wish all that could fit into a tagline, because I would steal it...
That just goes to show that minorities in America have the greatest problem with gun violence. Maybe minorities should deal with their cultural problems instead of finding ways to blame others, or counting on others to do it for them. Ann’s statement is consistent with crime statistics in general, and it reflects the percentages of minorities incarcerated for violent crimes. There is no need for a knee jerk reaction about racism. Sometimes the truth is necessary for solving problems, something the left knows little about.
