Matheson wrote many of the classics.

Figures CNN would omit mention of Charlton Heston's "Omega Man", but why leave out Vincent Price's "Last Man on Earth"?

Matheson's IMDB page:

RIP

I'll have to grab my Omega Man soundtrack CD to play in the car today. Truly music to shoot zombies by. ;-)

Thanks for the stories, Mr. Matheson.

He also wrote The Shrinking Man (filmed as Incredible Shrinking Man and remade in the 80s as a comedy with Lily Tomlin) and last I heard he and his son were working on the script for another remake.

Oh Wow...this is SO wierd.

I just got the Omega man from Netflix and watched it (and all the special features) last night!

I really liked the movie, and the 70’s Cars were a hoot.

The 70’s FASHIONS? Eyew! LOL!

Charleton Heston was amazing, especially since much of the movie was soliloquy.

I believe he wrote “Duel”, a gripping movie with almost no dialogue.
