Thanks for that information - I thought I read something about a sweet time with that onion.

I'm glad someone has them to give us dependable information. I surely am going to get some and they are cheap. Thanks so much for posting.

Send me an address and I will mail some bulbs when they are ready. If I put your address on my calendar I will not forget later. These are the little thingys that grow on the top part of the long stem- they will put down roots where they touch ground although when I plant them I gently place them where they have good contact. Come winter they die down and the tops go to the compost- in early spring they grow again and you are good for another season.

No, they are not expensive to buy,(but free is better) but I think my great-grandfather would smile if he knew the latest generation of something he grew a hundred years ago was still being shared.
