I hope that the write of the article understands that they have likely contributed to the death of alcoholics. Alcoholics are experts on rationalizing why they are not drunks and here's one more reason not to seek help.

It's a shame this happened while his son was present however, I believe when it's your time, it's your time. He went out with a meal of his choice, accompanied by the beverages he wanted, while vacationing in a beautiful Country with his loved one. Plus, he went quick. Not too shabby.
