I tried to tell people for years to cut up those store "loyalty" cards that track all of your grocery purchases. I've stopped trying to warn people. They deserve to have that information get into the hands of their insurance company. Wait until their premiums they have to pay or go to jail get jacked up based on their past purchasing habits.
I have no problem with the store having loyalty cards.
I DO have a problem with that information being shared without my express written permission.
But you’re right. The pull of corruption and data control is great enough that all data will eventually be abused.
And don’t think that won’t happen. I have complained and quit shopping at stores when they won’t allow you the sale price if you are not willing to give them all your personal shopping habits.
But what if they buy all that junk and are still thin? Still have an acceptable BMI?
