Yeah, tell that to the guy who hit and killed a little kid who ran out from behind a hedgerow in my hometown.
He was not speeding, he was not impared, and he still hit and killed the kid.
No charges were filed.

Many kids and animals are hit every day by people observing every law of the road to the letter. Its called an accident.
Sure as hell i’d be mad if a cop hit my kid, but my reaction would be to attend to my child.

You obviously don't live in Baltimore. Hehe
In Bawl-tee-more, it's pretty much understood that the pedestrian has the right of way to cross the street, any street no matter how busy, wherever and whenever he/she pleases. It's pretty common to see two, three, even a whole group of 4-7 people crossing the street no where close to a traffic light or crosswalk.
And don't you dare shoot them a dirty look as you narrowly miss them with your car, whitey!
