Dogs preferred to cats in every age category. Over 65, it’s 57-19. Maybe it’s the wisdom that comes with age...you just can’t take a walk with a cat!

Maybe its the wisdom that comes with age...you just cant take a walk with a cat! Bzzzzt! Wrong. I can walk my cats on a leash, and several of them will go for a walk with my wife WITHOUT one.

57-19? Really? Many nursing homes and ‘extended care’ facilities have cats on site for the residents. It would be nice if shelters would pick upon this and expand such programs...the lives of many kitties could be spared.

One time we took our cat walking in the woods (on a leash, of course) after I put on lipstick and smacked our cat, when we chanced upon two women hiking the trail.
They looked at out cat, the leash, and his red snout, then muttering to themselves ‘must be drinking cool-aid’ .......
To this day, both of us can't stop laughing when thinking about the episode.
