PS: Some of my best and most loyal dogs I’ve had over the years have been pound puppies. I have done this enough to know that most dogs know you saved their lives and are forever grateful that you rescued them.

I like the dog--who, I believe, is unnamed--in "The Littlest Hobo" (1958), who leads a lamb to safety through the streets of Los Angeles
I also like Rin Tin Tin, who made a brief appearance toward the end of his life in "The Hollywood Revue of 1929."
Sam, the star of "Savage Sam" (1963), a film about settlers and Indians on the Texas frontier, is another favorite. Modern audiences would find the book of the same title by Fred Gipson (New York: Harper, 1962), to be even more politically incorrect than the movie.

I’m partial to Cairn Terriers, think Toto from the Wizard of Oz.
Failing that, get a sturdy mutt in preference to an over-bred purebred. Let the dog pick you.
Are you going to name it after the dog in The Dam Busters?

“I don’t think you understand, these boys killed my dog.”
I remember it as, “I don’t think you understand... they shot my dog.” (looked up quote)
My favorite movie quote for justifying revenge. (Shooter 2007)

Get a Lab, best dog in the world. Most gentle, loving, intelligent dog out there. (Sorry Golden Retriever people, I think they are are a little more goofy than labs, a close second tho)
A rescue lab 4 or 5 years old will love you like no other dog.

Duke on the Beverly Hillbillies. The dog that gets his head spit on by Josie Wales. Cujo! Petey in Our Gang. Hooch the slobbering dog with Tom Hanks. Rin Tin Tin. Then again i lead a dogs life: If I can't eat it, screw it, or drink it, I pee on it.

Very cool movie.
A man has not a better friend!
Well maybe a few. But the American bull terrier is near the top.
And yes, she’s been my companion for the last 7 years

How about Milo in “The Mask”?
Should’ve received a Best Supporting Actor Oscar!

I loved the Shpeherd in that ‘80s flick, “K-9.” Lousy movie, great dog.

Don’t turn your nose up at a mutt.I’ve had German Shepherds and Goldens, my favorite and smartest have been mutts. My current best friend is a Lab/Terrier mix. He’s smart enough to not play the fetch game. He’ll chase the ball once or twice( he’s a dog, he can’t resist) after the second time he won’t bring it back. He’s like, you threw it, you go get it. He does have the best personality of any dog I’ve had
