Just thinking about getting a Dog, next thing I know I'm watching Youtube vids with Dogs...
The Duke had a good one

Keep your poochie clean and it won’t stink.
Do not, I repeat, do not get anything doodled. When you breed anything with a poodle you usually get the worst of both dogs. You are not guaranteed it will not shed (most do) and health issues are amplified. Get a mutt, but not a doodle.
A Boy and his Dog.
Dog Movie: “Eight Below”.
Dog: Poodle and Poodle mixes. If you like running or walking a standard poodle or Golden Doodle (Poodle and Golden Retriever) are really great dogs. These dogs are quite big and they are not afraid of anything and are excellent guard dogs to boot.
If you are less active, with smaller ones you won’t feel guilty about not walking them and they can get a workout in in an apartment...
Advantages: Smartest dog, easiest to train, hypo-allergenic, don’t shed.
Disadvantages: With small ones you got to make sure they have a balanced diet, but they are not costly to feed as they eat a hecka lot less than a big dog.
If you don’t like the ‘dreadlocks’ look you will have to take them to a groomer.
Disclaimer: I have owned Boston Terriers, Bulldogs, Shar Pei’s, German Shorthair Pointers, Chows, Spiz, German Sheppards and other mutts.
Dogs really are fun to have and add a lot to a single persons life or a family. If they get hurt they can cost you money, but they more than make up for it with their loyalty and affection.
Your kids will never be as happy to see you when you get home as your dogs will be.
"It's disconcerting to think that the smartest member of this little expedition is a dog."
I don’t know about the best dog in a movie, but the best
dog movie in years, I believe, is Haichi, A Dog’s Tale.
I just gave it as a gift to a friend who had to lay hers
to sleep. If you’re a dog lover, you should see it.
Guess Lassie was all hollywood hype.......
One of my favorite breeds.
PS: Some of my best and most loyal dogs I’ve had over the years have been pound puppies. I have done this enough to know that most dogs know you saved their lives and are forever grateful that you rescued them.
They smell even when clean. Ya can’t wash them every day, can you? You can always tell when a house has beagles! I like them, but not inside. I had a Briard. Beautiful, smart, but a lot of work!
I also like Rin Tin Tin, who made a brief appearance toward the end of his life in "The Hollywood Revue of 1929."
Sam, the star of "Savage Sam" (1963), a film about settlers and Indians on the Texas frontier, is another favorite. Modern audiences would find the book of the same title by Fred Gipson (New York: Harper, 1962), to be even more politically incorrect than the movie.
That was the best dog ever, and the most useful.
I’m partial to Cairn Terriers, think Toto from the Wizard of Oz.
Failing that, get a sturdy mutt in preference to an over-bred purebred. Let the dog pick you.
Are you going to name it after the dog in The Dam Busters?
“I don’t think you understand, these boys killed my dog.”
I remember it as, “I don’t think you understand... they shot my dog.” (looked up quote)
My favorite movie quote for justifying revenge. (Shooter 2007)
