I think Asparagus will grow even into zone 4 or 5, someone correct me?

As it is, in Houston or the general area it might not actually be cold enough for it in the winter. It might prefer to be left out in the freeze.

I am zone 8 and it’s hot, hot, hot. I’m sure it won’t get too cold for them. This past winter was very mild. Some years I remember 5 degrees for almost a week but that is very unusual. We usually have two “cold snaps”, being down in the 20s at night for a few nights, then it’s back up.

However, with global warming (cough) I don’t know what will happen. :o)

I grow asparagus (and it volunteers) here near DFW. It grows like a weed.
