Will work.

I grow one type of tomato. Roma. Because it works for me, and it works for feeding crowds. I don't want to branch out.

Your inde may produce until November or December, depending on the weather.

I am sorry that you feel bad because you are old. ;)

That's as close as it comes. Don't bother telling me I'm an a-hole. I'm aware of that. ;)

About to send you free shopping list by regular email. You may want some of these heirloom veggies.

Sometimes I think out of the box and sometimes it works and sometime it doesn't.

One time it didn't work: I was teaching 5th grade in the poorest school in Texas. There were holes in the windows and snow would come in. When we would get there, kids and I had to keep on coats for some time before it was warm enough to take them off. We all wore plastic overshoes over our shoes to try to keep feet warm.

I thought I could help this problem, and brought an electric heater one morning. The kids could gather around the heater to warm up. I did that and not long after the heater was on a bit, the principal came barreling in the room and said I had blown every electric circuit in the school including the lunch room and they couldn't make lunch!

Had to take the heater home.

I was going to use paper cups with punctured bottoms

Will work.

That's how I start mine. Cheap and effective.

Use one paper cup as a seed starter cup. Prepare it by cutting holes in the bottom (I do the sides also), load it with potting mix, sprinkle on a few seeds, sprinkle a bit more potting mix on top, water it in and then place in a sunny window.

When the seedlings appear, transfer them to separate cups when they each have two sets of "adult" leaves.
