I need a script to do a julian date conversion for from day x (maybe today, maybe Monday) to the first frost date.

I was going to use paper cups with punctured bottoms and clear plastic tray underneath with water in it and I have a bag of Miracle Gro seed starter I recently got for the planting medium. Will this work?
