In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of Word for the Day.
Nolens Volens
Adverb
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)
Practice makes perfect.....post on....

LOL never thought you would rhyme with colons. A+++
No, didn’t watch it. Lots to do this week....today will be busy as well. I am walking around one of the republican primary candidates for DA at lunch time. She will go door to door in my neighborhood.
xsbaby’s summer job[paid!] is working for the state delegate over in mclean. She was out putting out flags for flag day yesterday in the neighborhoods.
There is a doe in my garden eating the ‘good’ plants. Why don’t they ever eat the weeds? Maybe she’s the mother of the slain fawn, paying me back.
The turkeys are out again this AM, but I don’t see any babies. I hope they didn’t drown in the deluge we had Wednesday night. We caught the edge of the Jerecho, and I’ve never seen so much water come down. There are 2 open barns on this property, but the wild animals never seem to seek shelter there (just raccoons and groundhogs that tunnel in).
What you missed was disgusting. Mueller might as well have taken the 5th, for all the info he provided to some on target questioning by Jorden, Chevetz, and Gowdy. Jorden, at least, provided the questions in advance, so Muller should have been prepared. Can you jail the Director of the FBI for contempt of Congress?
Maybe it’s a ghost deer.
What a great cake! (Of course, it has one red layer to many...)
Being the patriot that I am, I will gladly salute that.
Flag waving, America style.
In another nolens volens reply to an inquiry, “Did you know the IRS was targeting Conservative, Christian, and Jewish groups who were applying for charity status?”, Jay Carney denied the president had any knowledge of the scandal, confirmed he was the President and the buck stops there, and then passed the buck to unnamed IRS “low-level” agents, who were to be thrown under the bus at an unnamed date. He also wrote down the name of the reporter and passed it to an aide for “further action”.
perfect!! i loved him!
It looks like he was a Wildcat.
He can rhyme anything, even orange.
That must be the nickname of a Latvian player w/o his contacts ...
by the way, everyone, if you didn’t get a grade give yourselves an A++....I am feeling a bit lazy today. Get to walk around in a few minutes with a candidate then mow my lawn. My puppy is busy attacking her stuffed fox...life is good.
It’s not only flag day, as i recall it’s the wedding anniversary of Ms Slippy and Cyber! how many years is it now???
