Vanity: Looking to buy a new Macbook - 11-inch Air or 13-inch Pro?

Posted on 06/12/2013 9:07:00 PM PDT by caldera599

Basically what the title thread says. I've been looking at these two models to replace my Dell and I'm unsure as to which to get. Any Mac users here that can help out?

that moving to Apple was the best thing they've ever done, when it comes to computers.

Good for you. Make sure you keep attending the meetings.

I'm interested in responding to your charges,

My charges ? You have a persecution complex. All I'm doing is talking tech. Keep going to your meetings.

Sounds like you are trying to justify the money you spent. I'm telling you I have had no problems with my Dell or windows for 7 years. My security is free and I am on the Internet for hours every day.

If you are happy with a Mac great. I want at lest a 15-16” screen and the last time I looked a Mac was $2,000. That's stupid.

I've been in the IT business for 35 years and currently work in support of the Product Development group for a giant software corporation. A geek's geek, if you will. I work in a variety of Operating Systems due to the nature of my work. Had more laptops than you could shake a mouse at. Basically, I can use any device I want and have for a long time.

I'm writing this on my 15" Macbook Pro. Best laptop I've ever had. It runs on an Intel i7 chip, is beautifully engineered, and had a really nice monitor and keyboard. I run OSX but I also have partitions running XP and Windows 7 for testing. To me, its like driving an Audi. Worth the extra bucks.

Like I said, you get what you pay for.
Or you don't get it.

- Ask Apple about the dreaded little colored spinning disc of death that freezes up a brand new Macbook PRO laptop….
