I wonder if that means the Pats are trading Ryan Mallett? I cant think of another reason they would be in such a rush to bring in another back up. Mallett to Dallas, perhaps??? Mallett was a third round pick so I doubt there's a lot of trade value there. I suspect there will be a battle for the number 2 spot between him and Tebow. Since they already cut Kafka then the loser will be number 3.

Since they already cut Kafka then the loser will be number 3. Mallett has been in the Patriot system since 2011 and is infinitely more talented than Tebow. A trade is brewing.

I think they will keep Mallet. If there is any coach in the league who can use Tebow in a few devious plays, it is Belichick. Heck, he might even put him in as the H-back...
