Mallett was a third round pick so I doubt there's a lot of trade value there. I suspect there will be a battle for the number 2 spot between him and Tebow. Since they already cut Kafka then the loser will be number 3. Mallett has been in the Patriot system since 2011 and is infinitely more talented than Tebow. A trade is brewing.

If Mallett is that good then I'd say a cut at the end of training camp for Tebow is more likely. The Pats may just be kicking the tires to see if Tebow has changed. If he hasn't then his time in New England will be very short.
