RECON TRIP!
I've found two suitable cottage/cabin facilities that can accommodate our group for next years TCMS.
Mill Creek Ranch Resort
(available Oct16 weekend)
and
Lake Whitney Marina
(available both weekends)
mylife will look into less known possibilities.
Looks promising for sure! We will have to pay in full up front like we did in Wimberly however. I guess we need to know who all is coming so that we can figure out if we need all the houses or just a few of them. The bigger houses can fit 12-14 guests each, but run a little more. I will post his email offer when it comes in later.
Good work!...but I’m a bit confused. The 2 links seem to be of different places.
Also, the date you mentioned is 2013. Did you specify that this is for 2014?
For these multi house locations, It is important to know the number of actual bedrooms per house, size of beds, and any sleeper sofas.
Fighting the TX State Fair traffic might be an issue in Oct.
mylife & BT...yer thoughts about that?
Hmmm...so this is being planned for Oct 2014? I thought you guys were planning on this October...lol. That is why I was frantically looking for a place today. Whew...good!
The second link is best:

Just click on each house link on page and another page will open up to specifics for each house. He said there are two other houses on property not listed as well that will sleep 14 between the two of them.
We should go down and check them out in a few weeks. I will let him know we are looking for October 2014.
I appreciate your efforts darlin’!
We’re just trying to get the plan set in stone far enough in advance so that folks can put in for Vaca and make travel/financial plans.
Herding this bunch of cats takes a long time!
I really think this place is going to be perfect though. I have looked everywhere and this was the best I found all day. Take some time and check it out and let me know if you want to go see it. I sent the dude an email and told him the date change just now and asked him to get back with me on best prices he can offer and if we can come see the property in a few weeks.
Y’all have gotten lots of planning done. Just lead me to it when yer done. :) I am like NYT in that I like comfort and I prefer it ready to plop down on nice clean cool sheets when I open the door. Just sayin’.....
It’s gonna be hard to beat Wimberley! (however, that’s what we said last year, too. :) )
But...I can adapt.
NYT...that houseboat sounds like fun!
#96 looks great.
I fair traffic will NOT be a problem.
We will be south of the metroplex.
I was refering to the Grapevine post.
Kick @ss! Those houses rock. Great find!!
They didn’t have many pictures of the bedrooms, but the cottages are really cute and comfy looking! :) I checked out their FB page.
Oh, Grapevine is going to be a nightmare.
Glad you checked out their Facebook page. We definitely will need to book The Farmhouse if we choose this place, as it will be best for Jim and all one level. Link for that one is here:

It sleeps 8 and has two full baths....plus there is what they call The Hideaway next to it that sleeps 6.
We could also look into renting a party pontoon or small houseboat for NYtexan...lol. They have a boat dock on the property. He is suppose to be sending me his prices, etc. and I will post them when I get them.
I really liked the looks of the farmhouse. I just wish we didn’t have to wait over a year to do this! :)
Me too! I miss everybody already!
Check this place out!
Besides over a dozen houseboats, they have a huge supply of cabins!

Uh.....that is in Tennessee...lol. I was excited about it today until I realized it was in the wrong state.
Oh...just damn!
Sigh! I was just sitting here thinking of Wimberley and what a wonderful time we had. :)
We can avoid it. Take 35E south to Belt Line in Lancaster, then Belt Line straight to the lease. It’s 20 minutes that way.
