In response,

Ye who have no sin, let him cast the first stone ....

I’m sorry that a direct ancestor of Christ, through whom God had designated as the Christ’s lineage had hundreds of polygamous wives (ie David, Soloman).

I’m sorry that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob chose Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, two of the three confirmed polygamist.

I’m sorry that Christ asked his disciples to be “one, even as we are one, as though father are in me and I in the that they may be one in us”.

I’m sorry that your definition of the oneness of God and Christ forever prohibits you as a disciple from obeying this fervent prayer of Christ since you or they as a disciple could never join as...

....twelve in one, and one in twelve, but not dividing the substance, or combining the hypostasis, but there are being of the twelve and twelve bings of the one, ..... repeat with various differnces ad nasuem ....

I’m Sorry that Christ actually was the Son of the Living God as the Bible said, and that when He cried out on Calvary “My Father, Why has though forsaken me”. That he was truly Calling out to his Father in Heaven and not to some mysterious multiple personality of his own being.

I am also sorry that you do not allow for the possibility of Faith and the Testimony of the Holy Ghost.

I’m sorry that while you read the Book of Mormon in 2006 that you obviously read it hand in hand with the best and most inflammatory of anti-mormon literature, since you appear to be more conversant with that than you are about the doctrines of our church.

However, I am greatful, that when you read the bible that you did not subject it to the identical prejudice that you did the Book of Mormon, or you’d probably be praising people flying planes into the WTC.

I’d love to get into a Christian doctrinal comparison of my LDS beliefs vs yours and the Bible as well as the early pre nicene fathers beliefs ..... and you may find that most of all ..... your Christian beliefs have been compromised, distorted, reinterpreted, transformed and replaced from the original doctrine of Jesus Christ.

I as a Latter Day Saint (Mormon) state that I humbly seek to devote my life, talents, time, resources, and family to my Eternal Father in Heaven and his literal Son, the Only Begotten of God, Jesus Christ.

I’m sorry that in your mind this makes me unchristian.

I am also sorry, that through ample personal experiences, Jesus Christ has shown me that he does not share your opinion.

I’m sorry that people try to justify sin by using the example of other people’s sin.

Just because others sin, does not make it right.

The record of the sin of others is not in the Bible as an example for us to follow.

Sheesh.....

Say there, Humbly Devoted One.

Do you have a Temple Recommend?

IF so - then I will bow to your 'devotedness'.

If not; then you are amoung the vast majority of MORMONs.

Ye who have no sin, let him cast the first stone Not only do have no reference, it makes no sense to the rest of your post.

Then you go on to distort the Old Testament and Jesus Christ's Words.

It must be really hard for you to read this apology and not be able to respond to it directly (as in show why he is incorrect) but just cut and paste what you have already posted and re-posted and re-posted and re-posted.

I’m sorry that a direct ancestor of Christ, through whom God had designated as the Christ’s lineage had hundreds of polygamous wives (ie David, Soloman).

In retrospect, David and Solomon probably were sorry as well - With David in particular, his wives caused him great pain and problems. I don't know of any theologians who would claim that the reason David and Solomon had many wives and concubines was that it was the will of God - it was a result of them trying to be like the pagan kings of the surrounding nations, instead of like the King of Glory.

I’m sorry that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob chose Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, two of the three confirmed polygamist.

Abraham was not a polygamist - though he only had one wife, he had a child with his wife's handmaid, and that poor choice still haunts the world today - Israel and Ishmael (Arab nations). Jacob became a polygamist as a result of the deceit of his father-in-law, who gave him Leah as wife when he was supposed to give him Rachel. And yes, that polygamy also caused Jacob heartache over the years.

I’m sorry that Christ asked his disciples to be “one, even as we are one, as though father are in me and I in the that they may be one in us”.

I'm sorry, you are obviously missing some words in this quote - why not provide a reference?

I won't address the rest of your post, because you seem to get increasingly incoherent, or at least display a complete lack of understanding of orthodox Christian theology. But suffice it to say that your post does indeed support the position that Mormon theology is not Christian. That is not intended as an insult, just an acknowledgement of fact.

through ample personal experiences, Jesus Christ has shown me that he does not share your opinion.

THE TESTIMONY
http://www.janishutchinson.com/mormtest.html

The "testimony" is a Mormon's greatest asset. They are taught to look one straight in the eye without wavering, and declare with Conviction: "I know by the power of the Holy Ghost that Joseph Smith is a prophet; that Jesus is the Christ, that the Book of Mormon is true; the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church upon the face of the earth, and President Gordon B. Hinkley is a prophet, seer and revelator" . . . all in one breath.(3)

One should never underestimate the power of a verbalized testimony. Mormons use it in two situations--the first, as a rite of passage.

Members are expected to stand up in "testimony meeting" and declare they know their beliefs are true. Using the phrase, "I know" is supposed to be the sign the Holy Ghost has given them this special revelation.

The second, witnessing. When Mormons are backed into a corner by those well versed in the Bible, they are taught that their testimony is the only weapon Christians and others are helpless to fight against. Why? Experience has taught them that Christians are at a loss when confronted with it, and do not have a comparable one to declare back.

THE CHRISTIAN TESTIMONY

So, how can Christians neutralize the Mormon's personal testimony? Simply by doing the same.

It can be a statement about any principle of the Gospel. Christians can declare with conviction that they know Jesus is the Savior of the world; tell specific instances when God answered their prayers;(4) testify that they know, not only by the inner witness of the Holy Ghost, but by the testimony of God's Word, that He lives; and that Jesus has changed their life. It is a great tool. It not only influences potential converts to Christ, but will also disarm Mormon missionaries.(5)

Here is a sample Christian testimony, especially worded to be comparable to the Mormon's:

"I KNOW, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that Jesus is the Christ and Savior of the world. That He died for my sins and was resurrected. I KNOW that I am saved by grace and not by works, and will inherit heaven upon that principle. I also KNOW that God hears and answers prayer. I KNOW all this not only by the feeling I have from the inner witness of the Holy Ghost,* but by the reliability of God's Word, the Bible, which declares it to be so. And, I also KNOW that because of my relationship with Christ, Jesus has changed my life and continues to bless me!"
