If you are not interested in the show, okay that's cool, but please leave those who are in peace. Thank you.

Please; the “let me tell you why I’m too cool for this” crowd is one of the best things about these threads!

It was perfectly filmed. I’ve not seen anything quite like it. It was like reading the book in the form of a film with only one difference that I saw.
I really can’t wait for next week’s episode.

I do pride myself in figuring out on my own that the novels are in part based on the War of the Roses.

I don’t want to be a spoiler, but my first thought was “OK, we’re getting close to the season finale, so they decided to cut the payroll - a lot!

Well, Martin didn’t really stretch his brain too hard when he named them “Stark” and “Lannister”.
It is interesting how he took lots of real historical events and places and just exaggerated them, like the Wall being Hadrian’s Wall, and the Red Wedding being based on the “Black Dinner”.

Love this show! Last night episode was epic...
Interesting about War of the Roses. I’m in process of reading book about Richard III & have read several about that time period. I can definitely see the similarities..have decided to read GOT books later :)

Read 3 times on Twitter last night:
Why isn't G.R.R.M. on Twitter? Because he killed all 140 characters!

I quit reading around book three. If all I wanted to be was depressed and glum, i’d just watch the news. The good guys always die..can’t wait to see how they react to the end of the last book.

So, do you think the end of the last book was exactly as it appeared?
You are aware that Melisandre was around the general area, are you not?

Be wary of any book which attempts to re-assess Richard III. While Richard was indeed a victim of Tudor propaganda many revisionists have went too far the other way in defending him.
