Total vanity, but need answer

I need to know if this tin wrapped around the tree is going to attract lightening.

I put it up so the cats cannot climb it. It is a VERY tall palm tree. I plan on putting another one around the tree next to it....unless it draws lightening. Can someone tell me if it does?

Cat proof fencing. You attach it to the top of your fence.

I don’t know but I would assume they do. For larger trees most of the time I see something like you have.

A few years ago I bought this cute little rhinestone collar for my cat. I put a little bell on it, and also his rabies ID tag (which cost me 30 bucks). He left, and when he came back that night the collar was gone. Two years later I went up on my roof to sweep off the dead tree leaves, which can rot and damage your roof, and I found that collar up there. He’d been messing with my head about it all that time, the sneaky bastard.

It’s never a good idea to put any kind of collar on a cat if they go outside anyway. The cat knew this and hid that collar well...

I did, but i’m not sure I did it right now... :( Only extended the 6 ft vinyl fence (which they can’t hold on to) by a foot with a slight curve at the very top. Now, I wonder if ‘Houdini’ will be able to get out. He’s very slick.
