Parents.

During an interview, Fishinger, who was driving the truck, said they were heading home when the dog started crying, they did not have place in the pick-up truck cabin to take the dog in, so they stopped at the side of the road and told the 10-year-old to go into the cage and take care of the dog.

“The man sounds like an animal lover who does not want his dog to suffer, but in this case, he put his dog before his step-daughter, and that is not ok,” Kevin Allen, 24, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, told YourJewishNews.com when asked for his opinion on the incident.

“I did not want the dog to suffer,” Fishinger said. “That’s like animal cruelty to me, you know, to let the dog cry like that,” he added.

“She plays with the dog in the cage all the time. She was strapped in, I did not think it was that big of a deal and we were not going fast,” the mother said.

The child endangerment rap against Fishinger was his second felony collar in recent days, according to court records. He was named last Thursday in a criminal complaint charging him with 18 counts of identity theft and access device fraud (15 of the counts are felonies). He was freed from custody Friday after posting $5000 bail.

Sounds like dad is guilty of bad judgement.

Do we know what kind of a dog it is?

Heaven forbid it is a pit bull...that would do it right there for many.
