Yep ... lots of tasty rats in D.C. for these hungry snakes

They don’t look big enough to eat Democrats.

I like black rat snakes a lot. And the pretty golden brown ones with the intricate markings. And blue racers. And even those cute little garter snakes. I have plenty of them on my property, and occasionally they fall out of the trees with a thump. They look at you and then slither off into the bushes to eat some rodents. And I hate rodents, especially field rats and swamp rabbits. You can spend all summer growing melons, and rodents will chew holes in them and make them unfit for human consumption. On top of that, they carry hanta virus and plague fleas. Thank God for the snakes.

Seriously: what is with the snakes? I live in a town where in 15 years I’ve seen maybe four garter snakes and a water snake.
Last week a friend had two three foot long snakes in his garage, and my daughter saw a small snake dead near our house and this morning I picked up a beautiful milk snake, maybe corn snake, run over, about three feet long again. I LIKE snakes, I was sad it was dead, but where are they coming from?
Earthquake coming?

Rattlesnakes aren’t poisonous either. People eat them all the time. They are quite venomous though.
