Since news broke that the IRS targeted conservative organizations due to their political views, some on the left have celebrated the actions. The latest to do so is Bette Midler, who took to Twitter Thursday to thank the IRS for going after the small government movement, Twitchy reported.
"The IRS overtaxing The Tea Party? I never thought I'd say this to the IRS - THANK YOU! THANK YOU FOR DENYING 501C-4 to any group who hates," she wrote.
Some of her followers expressed support for her position.

I really believe she is that stupid.
She, like other celebs, live in a society that is separate from normal daily life. They are an echo chamber for any kind of nonsense that comes along. Since they are removed from the real world, they have lost the ability to filter the BS from the truth. Had anyone actually the guts to check the facts, they would be first appalled at the truth then ostracized for being different. If they accept the reeducation they are welcomed back in the fold and get the good jobs. If they hold to the truth, they are shunned, mocked and overlooked for good jobs.

Slightly tangential to your comment - I took my mom to a concert featuring a couple of 60’s singers (Chad & Jeremy). All we wanted to do was hear some old tunes.
These two klowns came out and immediately launched into lengthy ramblings instead of playing their music. It wasn’t hard to see that they were totally infatuated with themselves (does anyone even remember them?!).
After an intermission they came back on and started talking politics (this was right before the 2012 election) and mostly slamming Romney and anyone right of center. At one point I got irritated and shouted out “Shut up and sing!” - to which I was resoundingly booed by the audience.
Later I apologized to my Mom for embarrassing her in public, to which she replied, “Nonsense, someone needed to tell them to shut the hell up!”

Just like they can’t understand taking people’s money through taxation, and allegedly using it for social programs, does not make them compassionate.
