Have had In N Out, they recently expanded into DFW. I’d take the Whataburger over it any day of the week.
Now Carl’s, we don’t have those here but I do remember the road trips we’d take to Cali to see family as a kid. I always through a fit because I wanted to eat at Carl’s Jr and can still remember that taste to this day. If I’m ever far enough West again to run into one I’ll kill the first person that tries to stop me from getting in the door.
There are a few Carls Jr here, but they are a shell of what they used to be.

A nice burger with cheese, BBQ sauce and Onion Rings stacked on top for a dollar.
Not a culinary masterpiece but mighty fine regular fare.

I should have remembered what I was taught about best burger discussions.
Better to stay in safe territories such as the Civil War, Catholics/Mary and the WOD.
