With this one guy....the Tigers are twenty-five games better in the win column at the end of the season. It’s like having Ted Williams in your line-up and being the pitcher for the Tigers today.....you can pitch an less-than-average game, and still have a fair chance of winning.

It helps that the Tigers have a top notch pitching staff and deep bullpen.

Justin Verlander has been struggling a bit lately but Scherzer and Sanchez have been hot. Its nice to see Jose Valverde back and on top of his game again considering the fact that he didn’t have a job at the start of the season.

The best thing about pitching for the Tigers is not having to face Cabrera.
