There was a news report that the President of the Treasury Union met with Obama at the White House on a May 31 and then next day met with IRS officials. I also remember reading that months before this, the union had won the right to inject themselves in office practices. I suppose there could be a link there to show how Obama got the word out to target the Tea Party, but I would take it further: were the five agents involved in this mess members of that union? I know not all employees belong, but were only union member agents tagged to handle the Tea Party ?
I had posted that the republicans should follow the questions like the reporters followed the money in the Nixon era. Perhaps follow the union membership might be added too.
If the employees were union, who is the union rep for them? Would there be any record of union meetings at the IRS? (at the agency I worked out there were written records of them). Offices were assigned the same union rep. Could that be where "marching" orders were given?
Could the House question the Union President? the Union Rep?
I have not read where anyone is thinking along these lines. Just a thought
Obama meets with the NTEU head; IRS commits hundreds of felonies to get him re-elected; NTEU is asking to opt out of obamacare.
Nothing to see here.
IIRC, one of Obama's Executive Orders covers the forum set up for the Unions and Government to meet and specifically required that the minutes of such are beyond the reach of the FOIA.
Are they beyond the reach of Congress?

Actually it was March 31, 2010.. not May. Her name is Colleen Kelley..
sorry - March 31. My memory is getting worse every year. It would be an interesting story to follow up on though.
In short, as noted in 2011, Executive Order 13522 establishes labor-management forums between union bosses (who may or may not be federal employees) and federal agency management. As part of the directives under Executive Order 13522, agency heads are to engage union bosses in pre-decisional discussions before decisions are madeand those discussions are to be in secret and outside the purview of the Freedom of Information Act
Here is the article

For me, its about collaboration. National Treasury Employees Union President Colleen Kelley on the relationship between the anti-Tea Party IRS union and the Obama White House
Is President Obama directly implicated in the IRS scandal?
Is the White House Visitors Log the trail to the smoking gun?
The stunning questions are raised by the following set of new facts.
March 31, 2010.
Impeachment File on Benghazi Coward B. Hussein Obama, aka Barry Soetoro, a legal citizen of the sovereign Nation of Indonesia.
(1) The NTEU runs the IRS.
(2) The president of the NTEU is a big-time Obama supporter and campaigner in 2012
(3) Obama has demonized Conservatives and Tea Parties as his enemies.
(4) If the Tea Parties and Conservative groups are granted 501C(4) status by the IRS, they can raise money to compete against Obama in 2012.
Does Obama actually have to tell anyone what to do? Only the really stupid ones. Building organizations to suppress opposition voters is what community organizers do (ala Alinksky).
Good article! Does it have its own thread on fr. It should!
