Has the screenwriter apologized to the actress? The director? This is beyond stupid. To appreciate the female form is to hate it at the same time. Oh, okay.

Oh get real. You see more skin on a daytime soap opera. To Hollywood, porn is “free speech” but a bit of harmless flirting is “misogynistic”.

I'm not sure about the screenwriter, but the actress is definitely not guilty.

Misogynistic? Hardly. People should have been up in arms over a scene earlier in the story if they are going to get their trousers twisted over something.
Sheesh!

What furor? We see Alice Eve in her underwear and that is indicative of a hatred of women?
Really?
And... has anyone told Damon Carol Marcus is the mother of Kirk's son in the original Trek timeline?

I think the scene was unnecessary, but this is the Leftist thought police enforcers. Nothing more. There is nothing misogynist about the scene. This is all about enforcing feminist dogma. And the director, no doubt a leftist himself, was all too eager to kneel before the alter of political correctness.
Phooey.

Mission accomplished. Now I just want to see the movie even more! ;-) Anyone think they may be going for a little manufactured controversy? Just sayin’... Heck, I was planning on seeing it anyway, I’m a Trekkie since the original series, so you know I was going to no matter what...

How exactly does this qualify as misogyny? Islam, now THAT is misogyny. Another word that seems to have changed meaning to enforce PC behavior.

Oh, a beautiful, blonde woman in lingerie, oh the humanity! This is seriously one of the least offensive things coming out of Hollyweird, I find shows and movies that push the gay agenda to be way more offensive.

This scene was neither misogynistic nor gratuitous, it was completely necessary and moved the story along. That is my story and I am sticking to it.
