I wish I could believe the Prize would go to someone truly deserving, like the guy in the article. Unfortunately, whoever it is that picks the winner tends to choose poorly. Obama being a case in point.

I watched Schindler's List (again) just last night.Working behind the lines like that was very dangerous and anyone did that kind of thing (Schindler,Winton,Wallenberg,etc) deserve the highest praise,admiration...and prizes.

Isn't there a documentary about this guy, I'm sure I heard his story a few years back. And I remember him being so sad he couldn't get more children out before the war broke out. Or is that a different guy?
You would have thought he would have gotten the award a long time ago... He should have gotten it instead of Obama, for instance.

I don’t think the Nobel committee sees saving Jewish children as a humanitarian act. If he had somehow saved Palestinian children and killed Jews in the process he’d be a shoe-in
