Especially compared to human stories of lateYup. This week we need something to reaffirm the goodness of America. This story did it for me!

I was a Naval Aviatior for 22 years, been around the world about 10 times, and I got enough hair on my back to make an Indian blanket, and stories like this just turn me into a blubbering mess. God bless them both.

stories like this just turn me into a blubbering messI did a big awwww when I read the story. Then I saw the video and the Marine and that was it for me.
And thank you for your service, sir. The Navy has a soft spot in my heart (my Dad was a Navy doc in WW2 (Pacific theatre) and Korea.

Remarkable story! Thanks for posting! Much gratitude to both man and critter who served.
I'm laughing...b/c the Marine who was holding on to Casey....his Dress Blues are now all *covered* with shedded tan dog hair. BWAHAHA! He'll have to throw the pants away to pass muster.

Happy boys back together.
If not one additional reason to despise islam. Hating dogs.
They hate dogs because dogs know people that are mean, when they see them.

The hubby was there (he's a member of the local Elks Lodge)..it was quite the event. What the story doesn't say is that there were dozens of "working dogs" in attendance to honor their fellow canine. Police dogs, Military dogs, service dogs, & many "working puppies" with their handlers....it was a veritable doggie fest..LOL!
Casey was promoted by the Governor to a higher rank in the Fire Marshall echelon, and had her new badge pinned on her collar as part of her retirement ceremony.
I hope she has a fine & long life where her only worries are protecting her Marine from the bunny and squirrel invaders in the back yard.

Gorgeous puppy...
Can’t beat a hunky in uniform guy and a cute dog...
