Thanks for the ping!
Thanks justiceseeker93.
Considering who they are, especially Breitbart's role in (supposedly) "taking down" ACORN, it was surprisingly cordial. I heard the whole thing I don't recall anything even resembling a sharp exchange between the two.
BTW, let's not presume that ACORN is really out of business. A few years ago, it was revealed that there were a bunch of different names of similar organizations with the same address as ACORN in New Orleans, so one can assume that ACORN is practically still operating with different names.
I wonder if the IRS audited Orson Bean...
Don't know that for a fact, but it wouldn't be all that surprising.
Democrats have been siccing the IRS upon political opponents going as far back to Franklin D. Roosevelt and his administration. Roosevelt succeeded in getting Moses Annenberg, publisher of the Philadelphia Inquirer, thrown into prison on purported IRS violations. There was widespread speculation that the motivation behind the prosecution of Annenberg was the paper's consistent criticism of Roosevelt's New Deal policies.
But Obama's the first to take on average everyday citizens... civilians so to speak... people with a right to assemble. Even Nixon didn't have on this enemies list 'all liberal adults who care about politics'.
The closest example in our history is the Jim Crow South - where blacks had to past difficult tests to 'earn' the right to vote - in the same office where whites walked in and signed a card. That's what the IRS did...
The IRS made it impossible for conservative groups to qualify - while allowing liberal groups to 'sign a card'. It's the same evil - just a different time.
FDR also went after Andrew Mellon who the treasure secretary under Coolidge. Bad move , not only was Andrew rich ,but as a man who once headed the IRS he knew exactly what he was doing and FDR couldn’t touch him. Perhaps the signal FDR wanted to send was that nobody was immune from his tyranny.
Mellon was not only the Treasury secretary under Coolidge but also under Harding before him and Hoover after him. He can be thought of as the father of what later become known as "supply side economics."
I saw the premiere in Santa Monica; very happy I went.
It is a film worth watching - - - I needed to see Jack Daniels afterwards.
LOL.
Just saw the movie. Only two days left to see it in NYC on the big screen: Cinema Village, 22 East 12th Street, 7:15 p.m., tomorrow and Thursday are the last days.
Three freepers appear in this film. Those that I know of. There are probably more.
One of them was responsible-in part-for putting it together.
Ted Kennedy killed a woman. Whatever Breitbart said wasn't unkind enough.
bump
the truth about the left is “unkind”
The man is responsible, in large measure, for destroying this country.
There's not a word in the English language foul enough to describe him.
BTTT! Thank you for posting this.
These two events are worth EVERY penny! Andrew Breitbart referred to Pamela Geller as one of his favorite lady warriors for truth!
