But the 40-year-old from Batley, West Yorks, says the feedback is always the same employers are turned off by his body art.
As well as the Buddhist symbol on his face, Yusuf has two Thai boxing designs and a yin yang symbol on the back of his head.
But he believes potential bosses should be more open-minded about his inkings.
Yusuf said: It is really getting me down and it is so hard to think that these tattoos are such a strong barrier against me getting a job.
Ive been doing everything the job centre has told me and attended all my interviews but they take one look at my tattoos and wont give me a chance.
I can just see the person opposite me lose eye contact and focus on my tattoos.
Im more than qualified for a lot of the jobs I have been for but they all tell me my tattoos do not fit the company image."
Yusuf got his first tattoo at the age of 14, but says he now wishes he had never had them done.
He added: I used to hang around with a lot of lads older than me and they started getting them.
I suppose it was peer pressure, but as a mature person I would not have got them, especially seeing the reaction from strangers."
However, Yusuf remains hopeful that an employer will eventually look past his body art and give him an opportunity.
He said: People generalise and think I am not bothered about working and that I am a freeloader.
I want employers to judge me on my skills and they will find out Ive got lots to offer.
Even if it is a week's trial, I just need that chance.
No joke.
I'm 41, and that guy looks like he has at least 10 years on me.
Just out of curiosity, what specific scripture is this belief of yours about tattoos based on?
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. (NIV)
Then you have the OT verse that the tattoo crowd likes to say must be read in the whole context of chapter 19 and like to justify tattoos by saying it only speaks to the pagan practices of the time and God wanted His people to remain separate and drawn into that crowd.
Leviticus 19:28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD. (KJV)
I say that applies to not only tattoos but also heavy make-up and revealing clothing.
Looks like alien cult leader.
Maybe he wants to lead Heaven’s Gate Part Deux?
bump
Maybe he wants to lead Heavens Gate Part Deux?
One slight difference....Heaven's Gate cult leader's eyes say "I'm going to kill myself as well as all of you!" whereas Tattoo Lunatic's eyes only say "I'm going to kill you all slowly, with dull knives".
OK, the first is taken completely out of context. Paul was preaching against sexual immorality throughout the whole chapter; it has nothing to say whatsoever about tattoos.
As far as the second one goes, I hope you also don’t cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard, or I would have to question your belief that the bible is the absolute word of God. (Leviticus 19:27).
Pharisee.
They tie up heavy burdens and lay them on mens shoulders, but they themselves are unwilling to move them with so much as a finger.” Matthew 23:4
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.” Matthew 23:13
Yes. Followed by an evil laugh.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and tats re not. IMO they are all unattractive and a waste of money and speak to filling a void in someone’s life regardless of how you interpret the Bible. All things even I would choose an employee or even a mate that was not tattooed. Again my opinion and that is the one that counts to me.
Well, I find tattoos immoral in my narrow view of what you should do with the body God gave you. I also do not like hair coloring or elective cosmetic surgery.
Ok, case and point see post 15.

Tattoos are so smart!
Facebook has no shortage of posts from tattooed folk whining about the supposed widespread discrimination of those with ink. It’s really pathetic and annoying. Weren’t those with tattoos considered the badasses of society once upon a time?
