They are 1 percenters who are 100 percent despicable.
Some wealthy Manhattan moms have figured out a way to cut the long lines at Disney World by hiring disabled people to pose as family members so they and their kids can jump to the front, The Post has learned.
The black-market Disney guides run $130 an hour, or $1,040 for an eight-hour day.
My daughter waited one minute to get on Its a Small World the other kids had to wait 2 1/2 hours, crowed one mom, who hired a disabled guide through Dream Tours Florida.

Disney has some kind of program where you hire a guide and it helps you cut lines.,..diffferent than this one , of course
although officially they say you can’t cut lines with the guide or some such thing
$130 an hour for a disabled kid? Wouldn’t it be cheaper just to hire a fat guy with a scooter?
“who hired a disabled guide through Dream Tours Florida.”
Shouldn’t ‘we’ be more concerned about the TRAVEL AGENCY that does this AS A BUSINESS than the moms who have enough money to afford the service ?
It’s not like it said anywhere that these moms go out and find handicapped people.
There is a South Park episode where Cartman gets a scooter for Walmart and Disney World since his obesity is a disability - it is hilarious.
“First World Problems.”
Exactly
I suppose I shouldn’t be laughing, but I am. Of course, I liked the idea of “Relationship Terminator” as a business ...
Exactly. This isn't just the "1%", as if they are some rich conservatives who Occupy Wall Street is protesting against. They are rich people from Manhattan, who are about 80% to 90% Limousine Liberals / Champagne Socialists. They love to tell everyone how they support the poor and downtrodden but the reality is that they abuse their staff and use the "little people" for their own comfort.
Bunch of Leona Helmsley wannabes. They treat their pets better than they do people.
Capitalism at its best.
That said, Disneyworld? Why? They support non-family values.
Were they on the scooter because they were obese? Or were they obese due to low mobility from an injury? I had a friend was on a scooter from joint problems in her knees. She didn’t put on the weight until she was recovering from many surgeries and couldn’t get around, much less exercise.
When it comes to obese people on scooters, sometimes it’s a question of the chicken or the egg.
Yea, it's not like the folks waiting in line care right. On a similar note, I presume you support hiring handicapped chauffeurs, so you can park in the handicapped spots up close.
They're paying disabled people just over a grand a day to drag their kids around Wally World.
The abuse is just horrifying.
Why not? /s
There is a process for getting a Fast Pass at these parks and they cost money.
Don’t want to wait in line? It’ll cost you “$x” dollars.
There really isn’t an advantage to using a handicap’d person as you are only going to get on so many rides in a few hours and just because you have a disabled person or fast Pass doesn’t negate logistics of getting from one ride to the next and the ride being able to accommodate your shill and the kids right then and there.
What’s wrong with being able to pay for better service? It happens in all industries. In airlines, first class and preferred members get the better seating and can board first. Higher end restaurants have better seating and service. Tip your hotel concierge more and you can get all sorts of perks. It is just Capitalism at work.
The handicap people found a way to use their disadvantage to their advantage and turn it into a profitable exercise.
Communism strips all advantages and spreads misery equally.
Great idea. I hope someone turns it into a business. Another way that handicapped people can turn a disability into an advantage. Love capitalism.
No, you'll waste too much time stopping at every hot dog cart.
It’s called a Fast Pass.
Works great for the most popular Rides and you can plan your day knowing you won’t be stuck in lines for 2 hours.
The best part of actually having a disability is that nobody ever asks me to help them move.
Boarding first does nothing, you just sit there doing nothing. Restaurants makes sense, as you aren’t skipping me of my meal. Same as hotel. I’d hardly call what I said Communism. I don’t think the parks will do anything about. (not that I really care) This will be a nice way of making people resent the handicapped.
Capitalism is the rule of law and the fair treatment under it. It is not the petty manipulation of the law to ones advantage.
It is indeed opportunistic, but it is not capitalist. It is also immoral. There is nothing immoral about pure capitalism.
Whether you agree with them or not, the clear intent of handicapped laws and policies is to provide an allowance for disability. The intent is clearly not to provide convenience for the able bodied via proxy.
The needle on your moral compass is missing if you think scamming the system is what capitalism is all about.
