Today in show business news: NBC is cleaning house while CBS is adding more clutter, including a Robin Williams/Sarah Michelle Gellar show. Yes, you read that right.
More cancellation news from the Peacock as the network gets ready to present its new schedule to advertisers at next week's upfront presentation in New York. Yesterday it was Whitney and 1600 Penn, today it's Matthew Perry's freshman sitcom Go On and Brian Williams's weekly news magazine Rock Center. They are really cleaning house as they do yet another yearly overhaul, hoping that this is the one that works. This leaves The New Normal as the only freshman comedy to survive the 2012-2013 season. Yikes! Not a good year for NBC. But when is it a good year for NBC? I mean they have The Voice and that's a hit, but that's kind of it. Ah well. Better luck next year.

But do they still have the Olympics? I dont know how I could watch snowboarding in Russia next year without the wonderful Bob Costas commentary.
Is there any sport that doesn’t glow in a better light from the halo of bob’s rich brunette hair color?? Thank goodness he was at the Kentucky Derby. How could we have enjoyed the experience without his expertise?
I watch Friends all the time and yes, though his character had great lines, he was extremely annoying, even to the other characters. There is no reason to ever have any more of him around. And he has lifelong drug problems.
two of the male characters are gay..kind of ruined the whole show..hasn’t been the same since and I used to be a die hard fan of the show..now I could miss weeks of the show and it doesn’t bother me at all
Probably a lot of gay males watch the show and begged them to have a gay relationship. They should have answered them with a big butch lesbian relationship! There ya go, boys!
Consider it a gift! LOL!
Lol!
It was a late cancellation.
I read elsewhere 5 minutes ago that "The New Normal" was cancelled. Thank the Lord for that.
Watching Dana Delaney and Geri Ryan was the hilight of my week! (Sigh.....)
You noticed that, too ? I’ve gotten so bored with it lately. I watch the same-day repeats on SoapNet, if only because it is wedged in between Y&R and General Hospital. With such a cast of characters who’ve committed a multitude of sins and crimes, the greatest sin of all is one who dares to oppose (or be repulsed by) the homosexual agenda ! I’m rooting for the “homophobe” on the show... at least his reaction and behavior is far more within the realm of believability.
Even the lies ? Heavens, no. What would happen to their news division if they got rid of that ? The perpetually constipated Brian Williams might have to look for a real job.
Speaking of the Olympics, I note that both of the heavily promoted shows that they interrupted the 2012 games with were cancelled. Hey NBC want to go two for two with viewer anger over using the Olympics as a platform to overpromote crap shows?
And what is wrong with Sarah Michelle Gellar?
CSI-NY got the axe as well. I only mnetioned it because good guy Gary Sinise is out of work.
I’m with you, never heard of any of these shows. Thank goodness for my Kindle and the ability to read just about anything, anywhere.
Yeah I think most people are rooting for the Nick character on Days..it used to be such a good show, now its just crappy..the days of John and Marlena, Bo and Hope and all the rest are over..this is the garbage we have to see now..that is why Days of Our Lives is the lowest rated soap opera
