I do not think Motown, Stax Records and pop music get enough credit for how influential they were in the 60’s integration of America.
I grew up in a Pac NW county that had 1 black person. But we were all dancing to Smokey and I had such a mega crush of Diana Ross (oh those eyes and smile still get to me). Tammi is right there with her.
