Ariel Castro, who is accused of imprisoning three women in his home for a decade, allegedly beat his former wife so badly that she suffered two broken noses, shattered ribs and a blood clot on the brain.

Grimilda 'Nilda' Figueroa was also left with a knocked-out tooth and two dislocated shoulders from the domestic abuse, according to a 2005 court filing against her former husband.

The documents also claim that Castro 'frequently abducts his daughters and keeps them from mother' - although it is not certain whether this occurred before or after he allegedly snatched Michelle Knight, then 21, Amanda Berry, then 16, and Gina DeJesus, then 14, from the streets.

I don't let my fifteen year old daughter out of the house unless she's got her knife with her and at least one of her brothers for an escort. She's never allowed out after dark unless I personally accompany her. And we live in a very decent area.

Looking at my original statement #16, it has come out in the last few days pretty convincingly that Ariel Castro ,amazingly, was effectively able to keep all three girls totally out of sight,hidden away in the basement to make it easier for him to administer his torture, rape,and mind games.
This almost defies belief, but it seems to be the case.
For the Cleveland Police, they were simply making “house calls” which led nowhere, and saw no reason to take any of these visits any further-—Ariel Castro was so perverse that he even kidnapped the child of a “family friend”, the DeJesus girl was one of his victims, and he would actually talk to her mother periodically to check up on whether there were any leads on her missing daughter. The ONE neighbor who
was hastily dubbed a “real hero”, Charles Ramsey, turns out also to have been a domestic abuser with his own wife or girlfriend. He seemed a bit dubious right from the get-go, though it’s doubtful he knew anything about what was really going on in the Castro house.Yet the media are always searching for “a good guy” in stories like this.
