don’t see how they are going to do this but they may pull it off. just finished rereading HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER and watched the movies and they pulled it off though the book was better.

Thank you, EveningStar. With Hailey Steinfeld, Ben Kingsley and Harrison Ford - wow, it looks like it’s going to be a good one!

hmmm... it’s been a number of years since i read the book, but i seem to remember it was all portrayed as a simulation to ender. the trailer makes it seem like he’s actually on the front lines. or am i mixing things up?

so... major plot difference out of the gate? tho there do seem to be a number of scenes that could be the school. maybe it’s still accurate
gonna have to wait 6 months to find out.

I’ve read the book around 8 or 10 times, with a few of those having been the audiobook. Despite what Gavin Hood did to X-Men Origins: Wolverine, I’m really excited about this. Though, it may be the pretty pretty CGI that’s in the movie. But I’m definitely a fanboy of the book.

Yeah, they’re going to have plenty in Battle School and the Battle Room.

I read the book only once, right after it was nominated for the Hugo. I thought it was one of the finest books in any genre that I've ever read.

“Wolverine” had massive studio interference, too, so it may not have been a good representation of his ability. This looks pretty damn cool!
To: EveningStar
Wow! I hope I have enough money to afford to go to a theater come November!

No matter what the circumstances are, I’m going to the midnight release if they have one. I’m more than happy to watch movies at home, but this... I’m not missing this in theaters. Huge screen, massive wall of sound... it’s gonna border on a religious experience for me.

I don’t think Ender’s on the front lines in any of the scenes in this trailer. At 1:34 it’s kind of hard to tell, though.
To: EveningStar
tnks for the ping!
If this turns out like we all hope, then the "The Tales of Alvin Maker" should be next.

prepared to be disappointed I'm always prepared to be disappointed but I'm hoping for the best here since Orson Scott Card is one of the producers.
However, I was prepared to be disappointed with the remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still and it was still worse than I could have imagined.
I'm still hoping for the best.
(BTW, Card felt the the remake of TDTESS was "far better" than the original)
